Children should wear laced style shoes for a snug fit, and adequate foot support. They should feel comfortably from the start, not have to be “broken in,” so that the child will be happy wearing them.

Small children like putting on and taking off their shoes. In the process, most shoelaces can come loose and be pulled out – not the case with elastic laces. The strength and feel of the elastic laces make it easier for a child to hold onto the laces, and learn to tie their shoes.
