The idea for Xtenex cool shoelaces came from a father trying to deal with the wet laces on his son’s boots. First came “Knoty Boy,” in 1999. After years of trying and testing, manufacturers found endorsement from some professional athletes, got a patent, and worked out marketing skills to introduce Xtenex to the world.
